Beast Kingdoms

The battle for man's soul and the revealing of Jesus to his church and the world has been progressing exactly as foretold. We will look at events that have transpired that were described in Daniel and apostle John's Revelation. We will see the conflict between a man/Luciferian centered religious system and God's system of redeeming people from the earth. Through the ages people were expecting such things to occur in their time and have documented these occurrences. We can see through their writings and other recordings of history a bread crumb trail that matches Daniel's and John's descriptions. We will begin with looking at kingdoms that have come as prophesied. Some have gone and some are still here. A copy of the Dictionary of Prophetic Terms is included at the bottom of the page for convenience.

Kingdoms

Let's start with kingdoms that have been described in biblical prophecy that have come and have either gone or are still here.

The name Daniel means judgment. The whole book of Daniel is about kingdoms that come and go and judgments of kingdoms and the final judgment of this planet and how it will transpire. Matthew 24 tells of the last days and mentions Daniel. We can look back and see what the properties were of the different kingdoms that have already passed and we can see the kingdoms that are relevant to prophecy as they exist now. In that there has been a continuous progression of events, it would seem logical to deduce that if we have all the final players on the board that the ending act may be upon us.

We will start with Babylon. Bab means gate. El means God. Bab-El is the portal to God. Jesus says he is the door, or the bab. The man made Bab-el is "another" door.

Nimrod founded "Babylon". Nebuchadnezzar, also known as Nabu-kudurri-ussur, starting in 605 B.C., built up Babylon into the glory of the Chaldeans as the "Great Babylon" and the greatest city that ever existed. Jerusalem was destroyed in 586 B.C. by Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel and his three friends were part of the captives from the tribe of Judah in Jerusalem. Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that he cannot remember. Daniel was given the dream along with the interpretation.

Nebuchadnezzar's Dream from Daniel Chapter 2

The dream is:

Daniel 2:1 And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him. 2Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. 3And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream. 4Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation. 5The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill. 6But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof. 7They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it. 8The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me. 9But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof. 10The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean. 11And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh. 12For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. 13And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. 14Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon: 15He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

16Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation. 17Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: 18That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. 20Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. 23I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. 24Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation. 25Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation. 26The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof? 27Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; 28But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; 29As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass. 30But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

31Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. 32This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, 33His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. 34Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. 35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. 36This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. 37Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. 38And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. 39And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. 40And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. 41And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 42And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. 44And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. 45Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Magicians, and astrologers, and sorcerers are in use today.

Nebuchadnezzar is not happy when he finds his kingdom will fail and be replaced with other kingdoms. He tries to defy this with his own statue of gold. He decrees everyone should worship this.

Daniel 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. 2Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. 3Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 4Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, 5That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: 6And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

He tries to burn Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego by throwing them into a fiery furnace.

Daniel 3:12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 13Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. 14Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? 15Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? 16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 19Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. 20And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 22Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Verses 17 and 18 could use a little clarification. "If it be so" in verse 17 refers to if they are thrown into the furnace. What is implied in verse 18 by "but if not" is that if the three are not thrown into the furnace they still will not bow to the statue. Sometimes it is interpreted that if God does not deliver them they will still not bow down to the statue. If God didn't deliver them, they wouldn't bow down to the statue because they would be ashes. They meant "if they are not thrown into the furnace".

Daniel 3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king hath been astonished, and hath risen in haste; he hath answered and said to his counsellors, `Have we not cast three men into the midst of the fire--bound?' They have answered and are saying to the king, `Certainly, O king.' 25He answered and hath said, `Lo, I am seeing four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like to a son of the gods.' 26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. 27And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. 28Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. 29Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. 30Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar comes around. He writes his own chapter, Daniel chapter 4, in the bible. He is the only king to have this privilege.

Nebuchadnezzar was humbled by God through Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
Nebuchadnezzar's son Amel (evil) Marduk then ruled from 562 to 560 B.C.
His brother in law Nergal-shar-ucur (Neriglissar) killed him and reigned from 560 to 556 B.C.
After an untimely death, his son, Labashi Marduk (Labosoarchod) ruled for 9 months in 556 B.C.
Nabonidus (Nabuna'id) and conspiritors did away with Labashi and Nabonidus became king of Babylon.
Nabonidus stepped down to pursue religious service in the Babylonian priesthood.
Nabonidus gave kingship to his son Belshazzar.
Belshazzar committed a sin against God's temple.
He was found wanting and the kingdom was divided and given to the Medes and the Persians.

Feet of iron and baked clay Ten nations of Europe The year 476 A.D. began the establishment of the 10 kingdoms.
The feet of iron and brittle clay started as the 10 European nations that western Rome broke up into
and the feet last until the second coming of Jesus.
The European nations were a divided kingdom that accepted the separation between countries.
Each country mostly went their own way.
They shared loosely a common theme of global acceptance of individual nationality.
At different times different individual nations were the strongest and ruled within the block of 10.

A rock not hewn by hand strikes the image on the feet of iron and clay. Where the rock strikes indicates which kingdom is struck by the rock. The Jews could not have rightfully expected Rome to be overcome by Jesus because the feet aspect of the dream had not come into existence yet. Jesus came into the scene to accomplish redemption and begin the latter rain covenant during the two legs of Rome. The ten toes of the feet of iron and clay arise from the western empire of Rome. During the remaining "two legs of iron" time frame and the "feet" time frame father God is collecting people for his new kingdom.

The European foundation from the western empire exerts influence over the entire world. Western Rome influenced Canada, the U.S., Australia, etc. and conquered South America. Western ideology from Europe controls world events today.

Daniel has a dream documented in chapter 7. This dream happens during a different king than Nebuchadnezzar. It is still about judgment of the planet and how things will unfold. The dream parallels Nebuchadnezzar's dream in content with different and more detailed symbology. The sequence of the major events is still the same. Let's look at the dream as a whole and then compare it to Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

Daniel's Dream from Daniel Chapter 7

Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. 2Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. 3And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. 4The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. 5And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. 6After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. 7After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. 9I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 10A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. 12As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. 15I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. 16I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 17These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. 18But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. 19Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. 23Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. 26But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

One particular and very important entity here that doesn't exist in Nebuchadnezzar's dream is this "other" horn that comes out of the 10. This horn comes into existence later in the list of kingdoms but has a longer duration than any of the others. It exists until the end of the age and is present in some form today. But, let's start at the beginning of Daniel's dream.

Daniel 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

We know that the beasts represent kings. Let's see who they are.

The first beast was a lion with eagle's wings. This was a symbol of Babylon.

Jeremiah spoke of the king that would punish Judah and Jerusalem for their sins.

Jeremiah 4:7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

And now the second beast.

Daniel 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

The bear was raised up on one side because the Medes and Persians were not equal in strength. First the Medes were greater in strength and then the Persians. The three ribs represent three major wars during their reign which conquered the land held by Babylon. One was up into Lydia. One was from Babylon central to Israel and the third was down into Egypt.

Daniel 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

This was the Greek kingdom that was started by Alexander the Great. Alexander didn't last too long after conquering his domain. He died from drinking too much at a party. His spoils went to 4 generals that survived him, Cassander, Lysimachus, Ptolemy and Seleucus. Daniel had a vision described in chapter 8 of Daniel that expounds on this kingdom manifestation which we will look at after we look at this dream.

This makes a total of 6 heads so far.

Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

This is the first mention of the little horn and the first mention of the three kingdoms that were eliminated by the little horn. This horn comes up among the 10 horns, indicating it must come up from this area of the 10 horns and it can't come up when there are only 7 of the original horns remaining. This horn starts as a little horn and grows to a stout horn and removes the three horns.

These 10 horns correspond to the 10 toes in the feet of iron and brittle clay in Nebuchadnezzar's dream. This beast has the manifestation of both the legs of iron and the feet of iron and brittle clay.

Daniel 7:19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

This is the second mention of the "other" horn "which came up" and caused three kingdoms to be eliminated by it. This "other" horn looks like a man that has eyes and is speaking "very great things". We can see bronze claws from the third kingdom, the Greek kingdom of Alexander, and the iron teeth from Rome.

Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

This beast devoured with its Roman based iron teeth and stamped with its feet what it couldn't devour. This beast has one head and 10 horns making a total of 7 heads and 10 horns. The reference to 10 horns are for this head only. The other heads do not share in the 10 horns. They were gone in time before this head came to be. The beast in Revelation has 7 heads and all the components of the 4 beasts mentioned in Daniel 7.

Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

This is the third mention of the "other" horn and the three kingdoms that were eliminated by it. The Jews expected Jesus to save them from Rome, but if they didn't know Nebuchadnezzar's dream and Daniels dream they didn't know that there still had to be 10 kings based on Rome after the Rome that ruled over them fell. They didn't expect another kingdom to arise that was different from the first 10 and they didn't know it would subdue three of the first 10. They were expecting a physical deliverance and not the spiritual redemption and deliverance that Jesus accomplished on this visit as a human to begin the latter rain covenant.

Let's review from Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel, chapter 2.

Daniel 2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

We see "these kings" of the feet of iron and clay (minus the three eliminated by the "other" horn) standing until "the God of heaven" sets up a kingdom.

Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

This one horn that arises out of the 10 horns would have a rulership and fight against the saints until the end of the age when the saints come to possess father God's kingdom.

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

While the horn power is setting up its kingdom on earth with its "great words", we see in heaven that father God and Jesus are preparing to set up Jesus' kingdom. The stout horn will be destroyed before we see the elimination of the dominion of the 7 remaining horn kingdoms.

Daniel 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Even though the one horn power was able to overcome the saints on earth, after they pass to the next age the saints possess the kingdom of Jesus and father God for ever.

We have a New Testament hint as to when the new horn power will come about.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we ask you, brethren, as to the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him; 2that ye be not quickly shaken from your :mind, nor be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is on; 3let no one beguile you in any wise: for not unless the falling away come first, and the man of :lawlessness be revealed, the son of :destruction, 4he that opposeth and exalteth himself against every one called God or an object of worship; so that he sitteth in the temple of :God, setting himself forth as being God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what restraineth, so that he be revealed in his own :season. 7For the mystery of :lawlessness doth already work: only there is :one that restraineth now, until he become out of the midst. 8And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the spirit of his :mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his :presence: 9him whose :presence is according to Satan's working with all power and signs and wonders of falsehood, 10and with all deceit of unrighteousness for the perishing; in that they received not the love of the truth, that they be saved. 11And for this cause :God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe the lie: 12that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in :unrighteousness.

This is a perfect description of the course of events that lead to the manifestation of the man of sin. When the two iron legs of the Caesars fall and Western Rome breaks into 10 parts then the son of perdition can arise. No Caesar would allow anyone to supercede them. The Caesars were the ones "who now letteth" or who now regulate and hold down. Like having a needed building permit, someone can't build because they are held back by the building department. With the needed permit they would be permitted to build. The Caesars had to be taken out of the way first so that the man of sin can be "revealed in his time". Western Rome breaks into 10 parts and the "other" "wicked" horn arises speaking "very great words" that "exalt himself above all that is called God". We expect this person to be a religious figure sitting in the temple of God and presenting himself as God. The church had to lose their love of truth enough and become apostate enough to believe what the man of sin was saying. This sequence parallels Nebuchadnezzar's and Daniels dreams perfectly. In Paul's time the parts about Nebuchadnezzar and the Medes and Persians and Greece led by Alexander had already happened. Paul speaks during the two legs of iron and explains that the next change must come to be during the time of the feet of iron and brittle clay. Paul explained this to them in person and not in a letter. If he had written "when Rome falls anti-Christ will come" he would have been in big trouble with Rome for promoting an idea that Rome would fall. Jesus' coming to establish his kingdom was not imminent, or "at hand". The "day of Christ" can't come until the Caesars were taken out of the way and the one who opposes God and exalts himself above God in unrighteousness comes first. Then the judgment of the "other" horn beast in Daniel 7:11 occurs and that beast is destroyed and burned.

Let's reflect on something implied here. All time from Nebuchadnezzar to the coming of the kingdom of Jesus is covered by a kingdom described in his dream. There is a contiguity with the timing of these kingdoms. One happens right after the other. Here we see that as soon as each kingdom plays its part the next kingdom comes into manifestation. There is no break in time between kingdoms. They roll right from one to the next. We can not put the rise of the 10 horns into the future some distance in time from the breakdown of the two legs of Rome. The change between kingdoms can happen at any time and each kingdom can be for any length of time different from any other kingdom but the next kingdom is the immediate successor to the previous one. Different descriptions of kingdoms and events can have different time lines starting while other time lines are already happening. Nebuchadnezzar's dream is one time line with the events that are described in it being contiguous with no gaps. The kingdoms in Daniel's dream start and end at the same time as those in Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Daniel's dream extends beyond Nebuchadnezzar's dream in that it introduces the "other" horn which coexists with the feet of iron and clay in Nebuchadnezzar's dream but it still runs during the same time. An example of overlapping time lines is seen in the book of Daniel where Gabriel comes to talk to Daniel about the 70 weeks while also in the book of Daniel we see Nebuchadnezzar's dream. The "70 weeks" time line starts from the going forth of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem given to Ezra and is unrelated to the fact that Nebuchadnezzar's beast image time line has already started. Jesus comes to accomplish redemption and make a firm covenant with many during the two legs of Rome. The new covenant is started while Rome is dominant and before the 10 horns come into existence. The coming of Jesus and his kingdom has to be after the man of sin has had his time and not before. Jesus accomplishes redemption at one point in time during the existence of the great image of Nebuchadnezzar's dream which is not mentioned in Nebuchadnezzar's dream and Jesus comes to establish his kingdom at another point in time which is in Nebuchadnezzar's dream as the rock not cut by hands that becomes a great mountain that fills the whole earth. There is no conflict in this. The man of sin can't "make war with the saints" and deceive many and cause a great falling away from "the faith" in the new testament and Jesus if Jesus hasn't first accomplished redemption to establish the new testament such that there are "saints" to make war with and there can be a "faith in Jesus" to fall away from. The man of sin didn't exist yet when Jesus was here even though the spirit of anti-Christ was here. If the return of Jesus concludes the time line of the image of the beast in Nebuchadnezzar's dream by striking the feet of that image then we know there can't be any other contrary kingdoms to exist after that time. There can not be a man of sin after Jesus ends Nebuchadnezzar's dream as the rock not cut by hands that strikes the feet of Europe and becomes a great mountain that fills the whole earth. This coming of Jesus as the rock can not begin the new testament. This coming ends this age's manifestation of the new testament and the great image of Nebuchadnezzar's dream and begins the next age.

Parallels between the beast in Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the 4 beasts in Daniel's dream.

Let's add in a vision Daniel had that describes some of the same kingdoms we see here. They are described differently but are very clearly defined. We get extra insight regarding the nature of the kingdoms that come into existence. All of this time line parallels some of Nebuchadnezzar's "great image of a beast" time line. The symbols used here are some of the same kingdoms that exist in parts of Nebuchadnezzar's dream and some of the beasts that exist in Daniel's dream.

Daniel's Vision from Daniel Chapter 8

Daniel 8:1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first. 2And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai. 3Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. 4I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great. 5And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. 6And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. 7And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. 8Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. 9And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. 10And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. 11Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. 13Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. 15And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. 16And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. 17So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. 18Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. 19And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. 20The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. 21And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. 22Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. 23And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. 26And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. 27And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Let's break this down. This vision has lots of "self-explanations" in it which makes it easy to follow.

Daniel 8:3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

Daniel 8:20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

We pick up the storyline with a ram with two horns with one horn bigger and further back. This equates to the chest and arms of silver in Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the bear with one side higher in Daniel's dream. The horn that is further back that comes up last succeeds the first horn and is greater in power. The head of gold in Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the lion with eagle's wings are not mentioned.

Daniel 8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

The westward, northward and southward push by the ram equates to the three ribs in the mouth of the bear in Daniel's dream. These are the three war campaigns conducted by the Medes and Persians.

Daniel 8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

Daniel 8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. 22Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

The rough goat is equivalent to the belly and thighs of brass in Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the leopard with wings and 4 heads in Daniel's dream. The great horn is Alexander the Great. Once he is removed the 4 horns that come up in his place are the 4 generals that survived him, Cassander, Lysimachus, Ptolemy and Seleucus.

We skip the two legs of Rome in Nebuchadnezzar's dream and move to the time of the feet with 10 toes. The feet with 10 toes are not specifically mentioned. This is the same time frame as the ugly beast with 10 horns and iron teeth and brass claws in Daniel's dream that are reduced to 7 by an "other" horn that starts small and grows to be greater than the 10 horns. The 10 horns are not specifically mentioned.

Daniel 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

This horn that emerges from one of the 4 horns from Alexanders kingdom is the same horn that emerges from the 10 horns in Daniel's dream. We see this horn casting down stars, which we know are people. We see this horn destroying the mighty and the holy people. We see a host of people was given to this beast because of their sin, or transgression. This host cast down truth and practiced sin and prospered, or progressed.

We see that truth is an issue here. We see transgression being mentioned and truth being cast to the ground. We see transgressors coming to their fullness in expression of their sin nature which opens the door for the king of fierce countenance and his followers.

Deuteronomy 11:16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; 17And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.

We must love truth. We certainly don't know every truth in the universe but in our heart we have to dynamically prefer truth over lies. It does not matter what truth is as long as we are willing to love it anyway. When we have this heart attitude we can be saved from deception and lies and we can be saved from death.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth: :thy :word is truth.

Father God wants people who only want truth. That becomes our test. Do we love truth? This is part of father God's righteousness. If we do not recognize father God as the supreme God then he will not send us his doctrines (rain) and we (fruit) will dry up and perish.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of :God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of :God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of :God: 3and every spirit that confesseth not :Jesus is not of :God: and this is the spirit of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and is now in the world already.

We must believe Jesus "is come" in our flesh, not "has come" in the flesh in the past or in another person. Each and every one of us individually must enter into the corporate spiritual person of Jesus. We can not believe someone else represents Jesus and somehow "covers" us or represents us to father God. Father God must be our spiritual father directly. When we are in the corporate spiritual person of the son of God, Jesus, we are also a child of father God. The whole goal of father God is to give us our own personal copy of this spirit of Jesus individually so we can become his children individually.

Let's compare the symbols from Nebuchadnezzar's dream, Daniel's dream and Daniel's vision.

So far we have a beast that has been progressing in maturity. With a foundation of Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom this corporate beast added components to it through the contributions of the Medes and the Persians. It then added the Greek mind set started with the kingdom of Alexander the Great. The Roman beast entities added the iron aspect which gave it the strength to impose itself on anyone it chose. Then we have the entrance of this "other" horn that essentially takes over the value of the corporate beast with the ability to control anything in its reach. We will soon take a closer look at the "other" horn beast and how it affects the 10 horns and the 10 toes of the feet. This beast becomes a major player in history. Its kingdom lasted in its fullness for 1260 years and it exists today in some form. This beast conflicts with father God's agenda of spreading light to mankind. Before we do that we don't want to miss a relevant conversation between an angel and Zechariah. This conversation will add more details to the nature of the beasts we have been looking at. There are also new characters that are described in the conversation that come alive during the 11th horn's reign. We will compare these figures with ones John saw and wrote about in his book "Revelation". Let's start with part of the conversation with Zechariah.

Zechariah 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 2And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 3And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 5Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 6Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. 7Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. 8Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 9The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. 10For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. 11Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? 13And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Zechariah 5:1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. 2And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. 3Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. 4I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

The main characters from this part of the conversation are the two anointed ones and the two olive trees or branches, the golden oil and the lamp that releases the light and life energy contained in the golden oil. They are the old and new testaments that convey father God's doctrine to people so they can be illuminated by father God. Through the scroll, or roll, we can learn doctrine of right and wrong. The manifestation of these two figures is through the Hebrews and the Christians. From our dictionary we know Jesus called himself the source of light. He also referred to the saints that took his raised from the dead spirit as sources of light. So we have the two covenants father God made with mankind manifested through people to reveal to others how to have father God's life.

Let's look at more of this conversation.

Zechariah 5:5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 6And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 7And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. 8And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. 9Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. 10Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? 11And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.

Here we see another set of characters setting up a standard. From our dictionary we know an ephah is a standard of measure. We know a woman is a church type of corporate person. This church type is described as wickedness. We see two unclean birds conveying this wicked church standard. Shinar is Babylon. We see this wicked church being set up on its own base as a form of Babylon. Remember, this beast was founded with a head of gold from Babylon. We may have heard of the quote "Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen." This is the nexus between the wicked church and the descriptor of Babylon. Wherever this wicked church is set up is called Babylon. For a short time the Reformation called the wicked church out for what it was. Then the lid was put back on its ephah and the truth was concealed. In a little bit of the Revelation written by John we see parallel characters and parallel actions.

Revelation 11:1 And a reed was given me like a rod: one saying, Rise, and measure the temple of :God, and the altar, and those worshipping therein. 2And the court :without the temple leave without, and measure it not; because it hath been given to the nations: and the holy :city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3And I will give to my two :witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloths.

We can see the same two witnesses and the same two candlesticks in John's Revelation as in Zechariah's conversation with an angel. We also see a measuring of something here like in Zechariah's conversation. In this case we are seeing more from the perspective of father God's side of the equation. The measuring by John is of the temple on the inner parts, the tabernacle and the sanctuary, and also very important, the people that worship therein. These people are a different church from the wicked one in the ephah. We can discern that father God is measuring people as to whether they fall into the category of being in father God's temple or part of the wicked church. If we are not part of the corporate body of people in the temple of God that measure up then we are part of the other corporate body. The outer court is not measured. There is a time-line associated with the abuse of the outer court by the gentiles. This time-line is described as forty and two months. We will see this time-line again, sometimes described differently, as we look at the "other" horn. The two unclean birds, as opposed to the Holy Spirit being described as a dove, are paralleled in John's Revelation as the Dragon and the False Prophet. They are the carriers of this wicked church and its message just like the two witnesses are the carriers of the two covenants father God made with mankind to save some.

Now let's go back to Nebuchadnezzar's dream and Daniel's dream and Daniel's vision. We are up to the feet of iron and clay from Nebuchadnezzar's dream and the 11th horn in the fourth beast in Daniel's dream and the "other" horn from one of the 4 horns in Daniel's vision.

mitre Attributes of the "other" horn beast.

Let's start with the references from Daniel's dream given to us in Daniel, chapter 7.

Now let's look at the references from Daniel's Vision described in Daniel, Chapter 8.

The general pattern of this horn is the same in Daniel's dream and in his vision. The horn comes out from previous horns as a little horn, matures into the most powerful horn and then takes over by deception and violence directed against all dissenters and Jesus' spiritual body. In the end the horn is destroyed.

We can see much of the prophecy given by the book of Daniel has occurred. We are in the final stage of both King Nebuchadnezzar's dream and Daniel's dream and Daniel's vision. According to these three sources we can witness the destruction of the man of sin by Jesus, the rock formed without hands, and the age could now end and we could enter the Messianic era. We will not bring this about. When the time of the gentiles is fulfilled the focus will temporarily return to Israel and the Jews. Father God will bring in his kingdom overseen by Jesus and administered by the saints that became part of the spiritual body of Jesus over the centuries.

With this foundation of beasts we cover a lot of time from Nebuchadnezzar to the present day. We can use this foundation to look at other descriptions of beasts that are out of the same collection of beasts we have already seen. These other descriptions give us more detail of the nature of this corporate beast that Nebuchadnezzar described. As promised we will see where the spiritual power comes from to empower the man of sin as a spiritual authority. These descriptions are found in John the beloved's book Revelation. We can see the same template of a corporate beast we have already seen described in Nebuchadnezzar's dream described in Revelation in chapter 12 and again in part of chapter 13. In chapter 12 we see a spiritual manifestation of the beast and not predominantly the physical nature. We will see the spiritual source to the spiritual power behind the man of sin. In chapter 13 we see the same template used, but this manifestation is more physical and sourced by the spiritual version.

Revelation 12:1 And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her :feet, and on her :head a crown of twelve stars; 2and she was with child; and she crieth out, travailing, and in pain to be delivered. 3And another sign was seen in the heaven: and lo, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his :heads seven diadems. 4And his :tail draweth the third of the stars of the heaven, and he cast them to the earth: and the dragon standeth before the woman :about to be delivered, that when she is delivered he may devour her :child. 5And she was delivered of a son, a male, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron: and her :child was caught up unto :God, and unto his :throne. 6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath there a place prepared of :God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred threescore days. 7And war was in the heaven: :Michael and his :angels going to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his :angels; 8and he prevailed not, neither was their :place found any more in the heaven. 9And the great :dragon was cast down, the old :serpent, the one called Devil and :Satan, who deceiveth of the whole inhabited earth; he was cast down to the earth, and his :angels were cast down with him. 10And I heard a great voice in the heaven, saying,
Now is the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom, become our God's, and the authority is become his Christ's: for the accuser of our :brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our :God day and night. 11And THEY overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their :testimony; and they love not their :life even unto death. 12Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that tabernacle in them. Woe for the earth and the sea, because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short season. 13And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the male. 14And the two wings of the great :eagle were given to the woman that she fly to the wilderness to her :place, where she is nourished there for a season, and seasons, and half a season, from the face of the serpent. 15And the serpent cast out of his :mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the river. 16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her :mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his :mouth. 17And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her :seed, that keep the commandments of :God, and hold the testimony of Jesus: and he stood upon the sand of the sea.

Let's break this down.

Revelation 12:1 And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her :feet, and on her :head a crown of twelve stars; 2and she was with child; and she crieth out, travailing, and in pain to be delivered.

Revelation 12:5 And she was delivered of a son, a male, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron: and her :child was caught up unto :God, and unto his :throne. 6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath there a place prepared of :God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred threescore days.

Our first new character is a woman clothed with the sun. We know a woman represents a church. This woman is pregnant with a man child who will rule all nations with a rod of iron. When this woman is delivered of her man child the man child is caught up to the throne of father God. We can see Jesus as the man child that the church produces who is now legally born of human flesh. Jesus is physically born out of the physical church and the saints are spiritually born into the spiritual body of Jesus. Jesus was born of human flesh so that what he accomplished pertained to those also in human flesh, who is us. Jesus had to bring a new spirit that was not a descendant of Adam, who is himself, and put it into the existing Adamic flesh. This made Jesus a living spirit in the death corrupted human flesh of Adam. This way Jesus could accomplish redemption for us by not sinning according to father God's laws, dieing without sin on his soul and then demanding he be resurrected, since he was not guilty of any sin that would require that he stay dead. As a raised from the dead human spirit, Jesus can share his spirit with us, making us raised from the dead also. At this time Jesus has accomplished redemption and has already made it back to heaven to rule. We see the timing of 1260 years which we have seen to be the duration of the unhindered rule of the man of sin within a certain domain. The woman part of the church has a place elsewhere on earth that father God prepared to protect her. During the man of sin's dominion, Christians fled the general area of Europe to places like Africa and what became the U.S. to escape persecution. These would be the woman. The remainder of the Christians that stayed behind were persecuted aggressively. These would be the rest of the woman's seed.

Revelation 12:3 And another sign was seen in the heaven: and lo, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his :heads seven diadems. 4And his :tail draweth the third of the stars of the heaven, and he cast them to the earth: and the dragon standeth before the woman :about to be delivered, that when she is delivered he may devour her :child.

Revelation 12:7 And war was in the heaven: :Michael and his :angels going to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his :angels; 8and he prevailed not, neither was their :place found any more in the heaven. 9And the great :dragon was cast down, the old :serpent, the one called Devil and :Satan, who deceiveth of the whole inhabited earth; he was cast down to the earth, and his :angels were cast down with him.

Here we see Satan being called the Devil, a serpent and the great red dragon. This dragon is described as having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. Heads and crowns are kings and/or kingdoms. This is the same pattern we have seen in Daniel's dream described in chapter 7. This one dragon incorporates the lion, the bear, the leopard with 4 heads and the ugly beast. Seven heads, seven crowns and seven kingdoms. This is similar to the description of Nebuchadnezzar's beast with all parts consisting of one body. In this description we see it is Satan who is the spiritual source of these kingdoms that start as either the head of gold or the lion. Satan, the dragon, is described as deceiving the whole earth. We just saw in Daniel's vision that the man of sin, the last horn to manifest, used deception to conquer. We now see where the man of sin learns deception as a tactic.

Let's look at a point of doctrine that is often debated. We can see Satan being cast into the earth along with his followers. These are actual spiritual beings that were in heaven that were permanently banned from heaven after the man child was born. We see the tail of the dragon drawing a third part of the stars of heaven and casting them to the earth. The dragon is doing the casting. We also see Michael and his angels casting out into the earth the dragon and his angels. Some people believe the reference to the third of the stars of heaven is about angels that the dragon drew saying a third of the angels were drawn down to the earth by the dragon. We would then have a third part of all angels both being drawn down to the earth by the tail of the dragon and also at the same time being cast out by Michael and his angels. Or, we would have a third part of all angels both being drawn and cast down to the earth by the tail of the dragon and also at the same time a separate group of angelic followers of the dragon being cast out by Michael and his angels. Let's look at another option. We know from our dictionary under the term "Sand" that Abraham's seed is as the sand of the sea and the stars of heaven. Let's look at this.

Genesis 22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

We have a conflict in the story if we say that both the dragon's tail drew these stars and cast them to the earth and Michael's angels cast them to the earth. We also have more than a third of all angels being involved in some great fall consisting of all the voluntary followers of Satan plus the third part his tail drew and cast to the earth. Let's say the third of the stars are people that the dragon's tail drew and cast to the earth, or caused to fall from their faith, taking them out of the corporate spiritual person of Jesus who is seated in heaven, and that Michael cast to the earth the angels that followed Satan. This requires that a third of people are involved. This does not require that more than a third of all angels be involved. The angelic followers of Satan can be much less. This corresponds much better with other sources of information like the book of Enoch. That number is in the 70 to 200 range for Satan's followers. We know the stars referred to in Daniel's vision are people and not angels. Let's take a glance at a couple of other references to "a third of" or "a third part of".

Revelation 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, those prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third of :men.

Revelation 9:18 By these three :plagues was the third of :men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which proceeded out of their :mouths.

We have more continuity if we say that the third of the stars is a reference to people. This symbology will come up again when we look at references to people as trees and the sea with a third part being destroyed. Let's move on.

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a great voice in the heaven, saying,
Now is the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom, become our God's, and the authority is become his Christ's: for the accuser of our :brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our :God day and night. 11And THEY overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their :testimony; and they love not their :life even unto death.

We see Satan, the accuser of the saints, cast down. We now have Jesus enthroned after accomplishing redemption for humans. We now have spiritual salvation and strength. We have the power of Jesus being able to invoke the kingdom of father God. The saints can now overcome by the blood of the lamb which paid for the redemption and the word of their confession which invokes the deliverance. The blood paid for the saints to have access to deliverance and what we speak that complies with father God's spiritual kingdom laws invokes this deliverance.

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that tabernacle in them. Woe for the earth and the sea, because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short season.

The beast that was operating in heaven is now restricted to operating on the earth. Heaven is relieved of Satan having access to it and the heavenly dwellers. However, the fight is now brought to the earth. We see from our Prophetic Terms dictionary that the sea represents people. We will see more references to this. People don't normally inhabit the sea but there is the use of the term sea to refer to large groups of people. Time is different in the spirit realm. It has been 2000 years but compared to eternity it is a blink. During this 2000 years Satan has been trying to establish his kingdom, but he knows it will be destroyed since the authority to destroy it has already been obtained by Jesus.

Revelation 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the male.

Special Note

We have to make a special note here about the ending of chapter 12 and the beginning of chapter 13. Some translations put "and he stood upon the sand of the sea" at the beginning of chapter 13. Others even have that part as verse 18 of chapter 12 whereas most translations have only 17 verses in chapter 12. It is a bit of a grey area as to where it belongs since chapter and verse designations were added long after the book was written. It definitely belongs and is important. Some translations have the person as being John, saying "And I stood...". Others have the person as the third person saying "And he stood...". In the Greek the word is ἐστάθη. This word is a verb in the indicative mood, aorist tense, passive voice, third person and is singular. The third person singular would mean "he" or "she". John said "I saw" or "And I saw" 34 times in the book of Revelation. John said "I looked" 5 times. John said "I beheld" or "And I beheld" 7 times. John said "I heard" or "And I heard" 23 times. John had passed through a doorway and was in the spirit having a vision.

Revelation 4:1 After these things I saw, and lo, a door opened in the heaven, and the first :voice that I heard, as a trump speaking with me, one saying, Come up hither, and I will show thee what things must come to pass. 2After these things I was straightway in the Spirit : and lo, a throne was set in the heaven, and one sitting upon the throne ;

Revelation 9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision...

John did not likely stand on any literal sand of any sea. John did not interact more than to take a figurative little book and eat it. John was given a rod to measure with but no measuring or measurement was documented. Let's use our symbology for sand and sea to represent people and nations. In the context, the dragon standing on the people of the nations would be consistent with the dragon being wroth with the woman and making war with the remnant of her seed.

Let's move on from our special note. We have a lot of symbology here to step through. Satan, the dragon, persecutes the woman, the church that represents Jesus' body. The church is allowed to fly into the wilderness during the 1260 years of the reign of the man of sin who is controlled by Satan. The wilderness is the place father God brings people to escape beasts. He did this with the Hebrews when he took them out of Egypt. He took them into the wilderness and provided for them there. The water the serpent cast out of his mouth was doctrine. Satan spewed his doctrine at the church to carry it away. The satanic doctrines did not affect the true church. Satan was wroth with the true church and made physical and spiritual war with it. The remnant kept the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus. Satan is seen standing on the sand of the sea, or the people of the nations. The sea here is mostly Europe. Remember, the Herulis, the Vandals and the Ostrogoths were wiped out by the Papacy. They refused to get along with the Papacy and its rulership. They may have been more "Christian" than most to have been targeted for complete elimination. The Papacy removed all references to them in all history books so it's hard to know for sure but we know what the Papacy's goal in this time frame was.

The dragon we saw had the 7 heads and 10 horns. This entity is more of a single entity with multiple parts like in Nebuchadnezzar's dream where the great image of a beast was one entity with multiple parts. This single beast is cross referenced as Satan and the serpent. This beast first exists in heaven and has followers and then is cast down to the earth with the followers. Now we have another beast. This beast is casually called "the sea beast".

Revelation 13:1 And I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience (hupomone - steadfastness) and the faith of the saints.

We see the same template being used to describe the sea beast as was used to describe the dragon. This is like a spiritual/physical manifestation where the dragon is the spirit version and the sea beast is the physical version. The sea beast is like the puppet of the puppeteer. Let's take a look.

Revelation 13:1 And I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

This beast comes out of the nations that constitute Europe. We see that it is a single beast and already it has the 7 heads meaning all the nature of the earlier kingdoms is incorporated into this manifestation. The 10 horns already exist. We don't have in this description that the 10 horns were on one head but this was the case in earlier beasts. So we would have one head with 10 horns on it. The blasphemy against father God which is a part of the nature of these 7 kingdoms is identified.

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The sea beast is a single beast that is like a leopard, a bear and a lion. In Daniel's dream there were separate beasts of a leopard, a bear and a lion. From Nebuchadnezzar's dream we know the lion was representative of Babylon. The mouth of a lion means this beast speaks "Babylonian", or, its values and morals are typical of what was normal in Babylon. The sea beast gets its power and authority from Satan who has as part of his nature the same spiritual personality attributes of Babylon, the Medes and the Persians, and Greece. Satan authored their nature as he developed and matured this beast to do his work. This power and authority is partly derived from the garden of Eden when Adam sinned and relinquished his authority to the serpent. Adam gave up his authority in the domain of the earth where at this time Satan has been cast down to. Another aspect of the authority that Satan has comes from the fact he is willing to sin and no one else wants to be the head of that! No one else wants to die an eternal death for the very temporary time of being the head of sin. Satan was willing to step out and manifest sin and therefore decides what kind of sin to manifest.

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Some of the timing here is a little different with the wound of one head as unto death being described before the 42 months or 1260 years being referenced. Also the dragon being worshiped is new. The dragon is Satan and is being worshiped indirectly as his puppet manifests his nature and will. This shows us that Satan being worshiped is the ultimate goal of Satan in creating this beast. A paradox is that Satan is being worshiped as the source of lies and deception. Satan wants to be worshiped as the author of lies, which are not real. What is the value of being worshiped for something we are not? Pride can fill in the gap here. Satan is faking it for a little while as the entity to be worshiped until his kingdom is destroyed. He has the ability to feel proud about himself even if what he is proud of is sin and lies. Self deceit is a powerful tool. Anyway, the rest of the acts of the sea beast should be familiar. We see the power of the sea beast being able to overcome all kindreds and tongues and nations. We see the mouth speaking blasphemy against God. We see the authority and destructive power directed against the saints to overcome them and kill them.

There is one more reference to a beast that fits this same prototype. More details as to how it manifests are given in its description. Let's look at that.

Revelation 17:1 And one out of the seven angels that had the seven bowls came and spake with me, saying, Hither, I will shew thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters; 2with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the dwellers on the earth were made drunken with the wine of her fornication. 3And he carried me away in Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast, full of names of blasphemy, he having seven heads and ten horns. 4And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations, and the unclean things of her fornication, 5And upon her forehead a name written, a mystery, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder. 7And the angel said to me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns. 8The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss, and he goeth unto destruction. And the dwellers on the earth shall wonder, they whose name hath not been written upon the little book of life from the world's foundation, when they behold the beast, how that he was, and is not, and shall be present. 9Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sitteth on them: 10And the kings are seven; the five are fallen, the one is, the other is not yet come; and when he docome, he must continue a little while. 11And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth unto destruction. 12And the ten horns that thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet; but receive authority as kings with the beast one hour. 13These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast. 14These shall war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they with him called, and chosen, and faithful. 15And he saith to me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and crowds, and nations, and tongues. 16And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her utterly with fire. 17For God did put in their hearts to do his mind, and to come to one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be accomplished. 18And the woman whom thou sawest is the great city, which hath kingship over the kings of the earth.

Sample Prayer

Jesus, I was supposed to be born a child of father God. Through no fault of my own I was born with a death corrupted human spirit. You loved me enough to come from heaven to put on human flesh like mine and die without sin to become a legally resurrected human spirit so you could offer to share your "Resurrected Child of God" spirit with me. Your spirit will resurrect me and bring me into the same father/child relationship with father God that you have. You are the Lord over the corporate spiritual person you are creating. I take your offer to spiritually raise me from the dead and bring me into your corporate spiritual person. Please forgive me for being born a sinner and having sin. I understand that all sin in my past will be forgotten as of right now. I understand that any sin I commit from now on I will be responsible for. I release everyone of any wrongdoing against me like I want to be released right now. Jesus, I open up my spiritual heart to you now. Please come into my heart and spiritually raise me from the dead. Please begin washing me with a washing of re-birthing regeneration. Thank you, Jesus. Hello brother Jesus and hello daddy God.

Jesus, you also promised me I could have the Holy Spirit to dwell in me and be a comforter to me and teach me about all the truth. Holy Spirit, please come into me now and live with me and guide me into all the truth. Show me who I spiritually am now in Jesus. Teach me to use my new "Jesus" spirit to not sin. Teach me how to erase my previous identity and mature as a child of father God. Teach me to trust and believe father God as "daddy". Thank you, Holy Spirit.
